As a client, what takes up most of your time in preparing for a photoshoot?
Besides picking a local photographer who will mesh well with your family, choosing a location in or around Pittsburgh, and getting your whole family photo-ready, I bet the most time-consuming part is choosing your outfits!! This is definitely true if you have a large family, or you are dealing with an ever-changing body specifically for Maternity and Newborn sessions.
So What should you Wear?
Here is my Number 1 Tip for Dressing Your Family for your Photoshoot. START WITH MOM! If you can find an outfit Mom feels great in, it's much easier to find outfits for the other family members that complement Mom's Outfit than vice versa. Also, if Mom feels happy and confident in what she is wearing at the photo session, the rest of the family feeds off that energy and generally the photoshoot goes better.
Online Styling Service included with EVERY session!
There will definitely be more blog posts to come on what to wear for your family's photoshoot, but for now I also want to make sure you know that I offer a free online styling service for every photo session that is booked with me- EVEN mini sessions! I love this service because it does as little or as much as you want from showing you what colors are complementary, to inspiring you to pull pieces from your own wardrobe, to literally choosing and directing you to the website to purchase outfits for your photos.
